The Cardiff site is a center of excellence for ambient, chilled and mini fruit juice, producing products in wide range of formats for both our Princes brand and for customer own-brand
contracts.
The Cardiff manufacturing facility was acquired by Princes in 1993 and 250 colleagues work at the site today. Recently the company has invested over £60 million in the facility to future-proof operations, delivering product innovation and, importantly, to set us up to achieve our sustainable environmental targets.
As a Centre of Excellence, Cardiff has revolutionised the processing and packaging capabilities across the juice market. The site is a highly automated production facility with room for growth. Handling a high mix high volume portfolio on flexible lines with continuous flow. All underpinned by our Operational Excellence program.
Some of the key aspects include significant flexibility of production with the site operational 24/7. The production range includes both ambient and chill capabilities in a wide range of formats for both from concentrate (FC) & not from concentrate (NFC) products. Along with a fully automated ingredient processing capability and a digitally enabled finished goods warehouse.
