Gripple is the market leader of wire joiners and tensioners for the agriculture and viticulture market and wire rope suspension solutions for the construction market.

The company was founded by Hugh Facey in 1988 and has since that date continuously sort solutions for its customers, finding ways to make them more efficient. Innovation is not just a buzz-word for Gripple, it is the foundation of their culture.

Gripple won their fourth Queen’s Award in 2012, which is testament to their commitment to both innovation and the spirit of invention. Having won multiple awards the company continues to challenge and push the boundaries of its industry.

The company thrives on new ideas and some of them are strong enough to warrant their own division. In 2003, Loadhog was opened in Sheffield with the goal of developing transit solutions for a range of industries.

As an employee-owned business, everyone at Gripple and Loadhog is a shareholder, giving strength to the employees and allowing them to control the destiny of the company.

Having been built on an agricultural foundation, Gripple have always appreciated the importance of sustainability. The manufacturing plant has focused on maximising energy efficiency, reducing electricity use, reducing landfill/incinerated waste, increasing recycling, and conserving raw materials.The company is ISO14001 accredited and in 2007 won the EEF Environmental Award.
